Old Jeans=New Rugs 2
Ok, so I go to plug my camera into the computer to download pictures and it won't let me, I go to use the printer and it won't let me. I spent 6 hours at 2 drs. this morning and afternoon and now I'm just tired. So tomorrow is a new day and I'll be fixing all the computer stuff and finishing with the drs. at 10am. I can't wait to get back home after that and start sewing again.

Old Jeans=New Rugs
So today my two boys (Cory -21 and Brandon 16) decided to tell me that they wanted new rugs for their rooms(the entire house is hardwood or tiled floors). I told them someday.....well, someday has arrived! My husband decided that after a years worth of beating his jeans up it was time to get rid of them. He set them on a chair for me and told me....here you go...do something with them!!!! Well, I'm doing just that!!!! I remembered reading about rag rugs and using old denim jeans, well, now I'm cutting the jeans and next I'm cutting them into 1x2 rectangles and then I'm going to cut out a long piece of denim for the backing. Then I'm going to sew the strips of denim to the long denim backing piece.....I'll post pictures as I go through the process.
Sew Vintage with The 1912 Project - Threads
I've taken on a whole new project with my sewing to learn about the past . I've always told myself I was born in the wrong era. I've decided to sew vintage with the "Sew Vintage 1912 Project".Historical costumers and those who just love sewing vintage and antique patterns may be interested to learn about the Vintage Pattern Lending Library’s(VPLL) The 1912 Project. I can't wait to get started on this. This project will be very fun!

Another Year.....
This year is coming to a close and lots of wonderful things have happened. I still have my job and I'm thankful for that...even if it is part-time. I have a wonderful and loving husband; that even though he has to deal with my menopause and moods and ect....he's still there for me. I have three wonderful boys, this year has been really challenging, the oldest, Cory moved back home in March and has still not been able to find a job, he hurt his back and so far we can't figure out whats going on with it., Justin finally figured out that life has other things in it than just partying, he has been in Job Corbs for 3 months now and he loves it. We also found out he's asked his girlfriend to marry him. And my third son, Brandon....he's doing great, 10th grade this year and is in ROTC for his second year.
We also had lots of new additions to the family this year....wow , where to start. My sister-in-law had my nephew in Oct. 7th, the same as the oldest ones, I just can't believe that there is 21 yrs. between them. My husbands best friend's son, his girlfriend had baby girl in Sept. and my niece had my great-nephew in Nov. What was special to me about him is I got to watch him being born. OMG, it was such a beautiful thing!!!!
We also added to our family here in the house, His name is Odin and he's 6 yrs. old he's yellow lab and blue healer mix; he's absolutely wonderful. A girlfriend of mine was helping her boyfriends brother try to find him a home ( they are military) they didn't want to put Odin in the pound but, that's how it was looking. I had to take him in! We got him this past sunday night and wow, he's such a great guy. As for the rest of gods little animals in our house: we have Maddie ( 3 yr. old Puggle- half pug half beagle, Corny our 2 yr. old torty kitty, 2 outdoor cats, Pumpkin and LF.
Lots of fun this year and looking forward to another great year of love and happiness. My you all have a wonderful Christmas and Great New Year.

Car MD
An update on the Car MD. As you know I'm a Bzz Agent, as a Bzz Agent I try products and give my honest opinion on them (weather good or bad).
Today I received in the mail Car MD. Well, let me tell you I've been having problems with my car. It's been running rough and the engine light keeps going on and off. The nice thing about this product is all you do is plug it into your cars computer and the hand held device runs a diganostics too see what the problem is. Well, we found out the codes on the web site at Car MD and guess what? I found out my car needs a new oxygen sensor and a Canister closing valve. Car Md gave me a detailed report on parts that I needed, how much it should cost ( parts and labor); and that was for a repair shop. Luckily enough my husband knows about cars and will be able to do the work for just parts.
I know that if we didn't have Car MD; I would have taken the car into a shop and that would have costed me a bundle. All I know is I just love Car MD.
